You are fully seen by God

I think we all have come to a point where we feel invisible. That we are unseen or unknown or unheard. It’s like there’s a pit of emptiness inside, longing to been seen or understood. I’ve turned to so many worldly things for the purpose of finding what my heart longs for, but every time I end up failing and am left unfulfilled. I’ve had to unbury a lot of hurt and allow God to fill me up with the truths I was missing. And the promise of how He fully sees me has been life-changing.

‏‏‎ ‎

// His name is El Roi, the God who sees me.

God is a witness to every detail of our lives. His good plans were written over your story before you were even born. God is never unaware of what you are going through. He is All-Knowing and All-powerful. Nothing you do goes unnoticed by our Heavenly Father. ‏‏‎ ‎

It’s so beautiful to realize that even while there is such a huge world of people out there, God still knows each of us individually. From beginning to end, God sees your entire lifespan and your big goals. And yet He cares so deeply for you, that He makes sure to know every little detail that makes up who you are and paints the story of your life.

‏‏‎ ‎

When you were at your lowest moment, when you thought you were alone: God witnessed it all, God saw you. He can name the number of hairs on your head and holds your every tear. God sees your pain. He hears your cries. He knows your every thought. Your every feeling.‎

‏‏‎ ‎

The need to be truly known, loved and valued can only be met through a relationship with God. He wants to be close to you. You are His precious child and He values you. You are not a mistake. Your life is important and you matter far beyond you could imagine. ‏‏‎ ‎

Our Father in heaven loves you deeply, knows you fully, and sees you completely. The world will never be able to meet those needs, which may be frustrating. But God is our safe place, our place of rescue that we can always run to in time of need. His presence is the only place where we can be fulfilled. With God we can always rest in the everlasting promises that He sees all and knows all.

‏‏‎ ‎

Lord, thank you for seeing me. You know what this day has been like. You know the things that are heavy on my heart. Thank you for seeing me even when no one else noticed my struggle. Thank you God for being with me in my weeping and rejoicing. Make me aware of your presence when I feel invisible. Remind me who I am in you, loved and seen. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

‏‏‎

And to end this out, I thought I’d share a poem I recently wrote, cause it’s about this message. I hope it’s encouraging and a reminder that His love & understanding is always enough. ♡

“Fully seen“

I just want to be heard, but so often

I’m left feeling misunderstood.

Yet when I turn my eyes to my Heavenly Father,

I find the One who sees every detail

and every depth of my pain.

He knows me in a way I can’t even explain.

Maybe I should stop looking

for someone to fill that void,

because I’ve learned that in this world

it’s impossible to find.

Instead of striving for the perfect image

I so deeply long for,

I lift my eyes and lean into His love.

Here is a place that always remains:

He is the One who calls me by name.

His presence fills all of my heart,

despite the things that try to tear me apart.

Nothing can take away how I’m held in His arms.

This is my safe place, where I am fully seen

by the King of all Kings.

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” - Genesis 16:13
