Hey everyone! Hope you had a good Sunday! Praying for you throughout this new week 💗
So I just recently started for the month of August, doing my 31 prayer cards (from Daily Grace). One topic per day, and I struggle to pray, so I’m taking this as a challenge to grow. Today’s prayer was for broken relationships. And when I realized the connection I was like woah. I just happen to be in 2 Corinthians 2 and the first paragraph is about Paul being heartbroken and troubled and hurting because of his relationship with the Corinth church. But yet he deeply loved them anyway. Paul, the offended, forgave the offenders. He put himself aside and chose love.
Let us have this same kind of attitude towards others who have hurt us—forgiveness and compassion and love. We may still feel the sting of the hurt someone caused, but when we follow Christ’s example, we can be set free from the burden and weight of holding all that bitterness and offensiveness inside. It takes time but it is so freeing!
Remember FORGIVENESS is so important! Just as Christ forgave you, forgive others. 💛
