A poem…
I cry and hold on to dear life
But nobody hears the aching of my soul
Nobody sees the pain I endure
And sometimes I’d rather keep silent then to tell how I feel, because it hurts so badly knowing
they may hear, but not believe it's real
Yet holding it all inside will seep through every part of you and will steal good memories
Maybe it’s okay to keep some things to yourself
But know you don’t have to stay there, because there is beauty in vulnerability
There is beauty in every detail of who you are
And there is strength inside you with every step you walk, no matter what choice you make
The world may not understand your pain
It’s been shaped into a visibility game
Yet they will not overcome or win
You don’t have to prove or pretend
The simplicity of you right here is seen and heard and known far beyond imagination
Clouds of life will come and go
Some may be fast and some will be slow
But you are free to take all the time you need to heal the places that feel broken
To take all the holes full of heavy burdens and
allow yourself to unbury piece by piece
Replacing them with new seeds to grow
Full of truth, love and wholeness
No matter the voices you have around
Your voice is worthy and bravely sound
And though the lies of fear can be so crippling
You are capable of fighting for the love
and support you deserve
You are so very loved and so very heard
On this journey there is freedom to find
And there will also be times that you hide
But still you are seen for all the effort you try
You are enough right here in this space
Your pain is always valid and you are held by grace
