Mustard seed faith. I like to think of a tiny seed that God has planted into us. We will only start to grow that seed inside of us, when we water it with faith.
For most of us, it will take a while to grow our seed, and that is okay, because this is the journey that God has called us to. He wants us to grow, not to rush it, but to learn to find His peace, even through the hard times.
Yes it is scary to let go, but if you just take a step and believe, your seed will grow. He will guide you in the right direction. Step by step in faith, your seed will turn into a beautiful flower.
Without going through the stormy days in life, we would not experience the beauty of growing. Just like flowers need rain to blossom, so do we.
Hold on to your faith. It can be the size of a mustard seed. That itself is simply enough for God’s power to rest on you. Nothing is impossible, even the mountain that is in your way.
Dear Lord, I am so weak, but I know that you are all powerful. I’m so grateful that my hope doesn’t rest in the strength of my own faith, but in your strength. Help me to keep my eyes focused on you and to align my will with yours. My battle may be big, but you are the God of the impossible. Use my seed of faith for your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Also I thought I could share a poem of mine down below since it relates. It was written in 2019, from a place of deep hiding and fear. I was lost and locked up on the inside, carrying so much weight and so drained from always trying to pretend. Letting go felt impossible but God made a way. He grew me and faithfully brought beauty and light into places I thought were dead. So to anyone out there who relates, I hope you can look at the rain someday and be reminded that God used that as apart of His good plans for your life.
hope it’s encouraging ♡
“The Growing Flower”
How is it possible to love rain
When the storms swallow me
making me drown, lost at sea
using up all my strength
Broken and tired and weak
But I remember the promise
After the rain comes sun
And there will always
be a rainbow
A rainbow to bring life
back to a dead heart
joy back to a sorrowful girl
Peace back to a fearful mind
And maybe that will change it all
Change the pain
that starves your soul
Break down all the giant walls
That are holding you back
from being whole
from being the real you
Not pretending like your
alright when you’re not
like your different then you really are
Even if all you have left
are your scars
There is beauty
in all your broken pieces
You're not gone too far
For true happiness will find you
despite the storm
Let go of past hurt and
all you've been holding inside
Because there is more
More to your journey
That you have strongly traveled on
More to your story
that's not finished writing
more to your mountain
that you have to keep climbing
More to your painting
to become your masterpiece
More to become the flower
you are flourishing into
Maybe a little rain isn't the end,
The end to your happily ever after
But a start that will bring
joy and laughter
The fight to keep staying alive
Because flowers can't survive
without rain, can't blossom
can't grow any stronger
So when the rain starts pouring
You can choose to give up
or rise above it all
It's okay to not be okay
It's okay if you fall
Because you're getting better
Growing and soaring
Flying the best you can
And that's enough
The storm that's crashing down
may be rough
The struggles you're facing
may be too much
But that's what shapes
the person you are
Like the millions of stars
All the thousands of flowers
Each one different than the other
But loved the way they are
For you are loved as you are now
No matter the choices you've made
or the battles you've faced
You are enough, brave, strong
I hope you remember that
and I hope you know
you are a beautiful flower
that will continue to grow
He replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
-Matthew 17:20
But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear awhen dheat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought mand never fails to bear fruit. -Jeremiah 17:7-8
