Awareness talk

🌿 🎗️ May is officially over but I wanted to make a post acknowledging the awareness months that occurred. The awareness months are for Mental health, EDS, and Fibromyalgia. They all have been a big struggle in my life. But God is good and so faithful and has guided me on this journey.

Growing up with severe anxiety, OCD, and undiagnosed autism alone was tough. Getting diagnosed with more physical illnesses at 16, making me very depressed, wanting to end my life. Experiencing trauma and hurt I didn’t think was possible. Yes it was tough (and still is), but God was tougher and with me in every step I took. My mind was a broken mess and I didn’t get help for a while. But through psychiatric meds, intensive therapy, and the loving hands of the Father, I started healing, slowly but surely. And I’m still on that process today.

Out of all of my chronic conditions, I think of Fibromyalgia and EDS as the pain ones. Whether muscle pain or joint pain. My body is always hurting & exhausted. Doctors used to blame it on growing pain when I was younger, but now I clearly see it was not. I’ve tried so many pain treatments, am on meds that give some relief, icepacks and heating pads are my best friends, and lots of rest. Remembering that Jesus felt physical pain on the cross, gives me huge comfort that I’m not alone and makes me feel understood. I know my pain has a purpose. And I pray that you believe in that too.

There are many more awareness months in the months, and I acknowledge those so much too, but I just can express myself by the ones I have.

It’s important for me to advocate.

June awareness months are for…

• Migraine

• Trauma/ptsd

• and many more

Sending extra love to anyone struggling with these conditions. Spread education, acceptance, support and love to the people around you. You are not alone and it’s okay to seek help. I love you human being 🤍
