A poem…

Anxiety feels like a never ending

symphony of worry trampling over me

It feels like an open book of a

long lasting story

A painting of everything

that could go wrong

Lyrics to a painful broken song

A constant mountain to climb

watching a clock, counting time

A flower poured down by rain

my chest aching from pain

My mind running a race

Trains going at a fast pace

Drowning in an ocean

with no one to pull me out

Heart racing

Head spinning

Lungs tightening

body trembling

This is a little taste of my everyday

living with anxiety

You can't see this pain on the outside

But it's there even when I sit quietly

It's a constant battle to fight

A hard journey to travel on

It takes up all my might

But it also makes me strong
