š Hereās a poem I wrote called āWhispers of the Shepherdā, reflecting on this picture frame I bought:
Forever forgotten, like lost sheep
Left behind by their shepherd.
No, this is not where you belongā
into a space of removal
Because the One who reaches out
And calls your name
Is searching, always finding.
Itās in His nature
To run after us in love,
Arms wide open.
Safe in His care, I rest,
Guided back home
Where green pastures grow
And quiet waters refresh.
In the presence of the Shepherd,
I listen to the voice I have always known.
Why would I run from my protector, my comforter,
When He provides everything?
Laying down His life for His sheep,
We stumble on the path,
Yet return to His feet in surrender today.
Our hearts hear what He says;
He whispers softly,
āDonāt go astray.ā
š¤ I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. - John 10:11
š¤ What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. - Matthew 18:12-14
š¤ The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
- Psalm 23:1
